Tour Itinerary

Join us in our adventure and discover some of the most dramatic and picturesque landmarks in Scotland; from the always popular Loch Ness to hidden gems not found in guidebooks. Meet one of our amazing guides and enjoy this unforgettable experience.

A day to explore Skye...

Our journey will take us through some of Scotland's most iconic scenery – to reach the iconic and beautiful Isle of Skye. You’ll also get to explore Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most spectacular castles in the UK (which is saying something) before we return to Inverness.

An enjoyable journey to Skye...

We have planned this itinerary based on the beautiful landscapes of the Scottish western highlands. As we leave Inverness, we will be able to take in the fabulous views over the Moray Firth when driving over the Kessock Bridge, the first multi-cable-stayed bridge in the UK and biggest of its kind in Europe. If we are lucky, the sunrises can be particularly spectacular when crossing the bridge.

Our journey continues past Contin, along the side of the Black Water, and through the remarkable Highland landscapes. The next stop will be at the lovely Kyle of Lochalsh, where you’ll enjoy a comfort- and well deserved- tea break with views to the Skye Bridge.

Over the Sea to Skye...

Next, you’ll cross onto the little island of Eilean Ban, where Gavin Maxwell, the author of the ""Ring of Bright Water"", lived for some time while studying otters and other local wildlife. Who knows… we may have a few opportunities for watching and photographing the island’s wildlife ourselves!
And now, make yourself comfortable, sitting forward in your seat with your back straight and your camera ready, as you are about to cross the Skye bridge and discover a unique, extraordinary paradise for nature-lovers.

Skye is a genuinely special destination as you will experience on this tour. A stunning wee island with lots to offer to its visitors; from its wonderful natural landscapes and powerful history to its spectacular local food and drinks. We will journey up this magical island and gently take in the stunningly beautiful sight of the Cuillin Hills. Followed by a beautiful stop in the highly photogenic Sligachan Bridge, with probably one of the best views in the world. We will then follow the east coast road to Portree, the capital of Skye and one of its highlights. This will be our lunch stop, where you will have time to enjoy one of the good reasons people visit this lovely town - the fish and chips. With a lovely view to the colorful harbor – just watch out for the seagulls!

After a tasty treat and a relaxed drive back to the south, we will leave Skye and make our way to what is recognized as one of the most photographed castles in the world...

Discover Eilean Donan, Scotland’s most iconic Castle...

Eilean Donan Castle * is one of Scotland's most picturesque castles (and a very popular location for films and TV shows). It’s so special it even sits perched on its own little island at the head of Loch Duich! We find its history extremely fascinating, from raids and sieges to its destruction during the Jacobite risingin 1719.You will have the opportunity to snap some photographs of this iconic castle.

Homeward Bound via Loch Ness...

Our one-day adventure wouldn’t be complete without a quick visit to Loch Ness. The dark waters oft his loch carry Scotland’s greatest unsolved mystery, making it one of our biggest tourist attractions!
The first documented sighting of our very popular Loch Ness Monster (Nessie for us, friends) took place a long long time ago… 565 AD! Join us now in our monster spotting as we drive along the shore of Loch Ness. You'll then stop close to the loch at the little village of Invermoriston, where you can take in the views and see a delightful ruined bridge which was designed by Thomas Telford, the same engineer who created the Caledonian Canal.

Glen Affric, a land worth restoring...

Not far away from here, Trees for Life are working on the reforestation of the stunning wild forest at Glen Affric. As you already know, we take our responsibility to the environment very seriously, currently involved in supporting the work of this charity, by helping them with their quest to restore our native Caledonian woodlands. With your amazing support, we have been able to help returning a wild forest to Glen Affric, which makes us very proud!

Return to Inverness

After having a final break amongst Invermorriston Falls, board our bus for the return journey to Inverness, arriving in the early evening. Our one-day Skye tour finishes just a few minutes’ walk from the start point.
